KAIZENTUNEKIT v12 - UNIVERSAL CMD GAMING OPTIMIZER
==================================================

WHAT THIS IS
------------
A standalone Windows Command Prompt (.CMD) utility for Windows 10 and 11 PCs
and laptops. Tuning actions use built-in Windows command-line tools. No
PowerShell tuning engine, third-party installer, download link, or network
connection is required by the CMD utility.

INSTALLATION
------------
1. Extract the ZIP to a normal folder (do not run from inside the ZIP).
2. Right-click KaizenTuneKit.cmd and choose Run as administrator.
3. Choose a profile or individual tool from the neon CMD menu.
4. Backups are stored beside the CMD file in Backups\COMPUTERNAME_USERNAME.
5. Keep the Backups folder with the CMD file. Use option 12 to restore saved
registry, power-plan, TCP and pagefile settings.

PROFILES
--------
01 Maximum Gaming (AC): requests EPP 0, boost mode Aggressive, maximum
processor state 100%, Active cooling policy, plus Game Mode / capture and
visual-effects preferences. CPU settings are AC-only. Higher temperatures,
fan noise and power consumption are possible. No guaranteed FPS increase.
02 Competitive Low-Latency (AC): same supported AC CPU performance settings
and Windows gaming baseline. Does not force HPET, timer resolution, process
priority, affinity, or undocumented network tweaks.
03 Laptop Gaming (AC): performance settings while plugged in; DC settings are
left untouched. Do not block vents. Thermal throttling can reduce FPS.
04 Integrated Graphics (AC): CPU performance and Windows overhead settings.
Does not change UMA, VRAM, physical RAM frequency, voltage, or BIOS settings.
05 Desktop Gaming (AC): CPU performance and Windows gaming baseline; dedicated
GPU clocks, power limit and fan curve remain driver / GPU-vendor controlled.
06 Battery Balanced (DC): requests moderate EPP 50, boost Enabled and maximum
processor state 100% on battery only. This favors battery balance, not max FPS.

INDIVIDUAL CONTROLS
-------------------
Graphics + Game Settings:
- Apply current-user Game Mode preferences.
- Disable background Game DVR / app capture preferences.
- Disable transparency and request best-performance visual effects.
- Set an executable's Windows GPU preference to High Performance (GpuPreference=2).
- Open Windows Graphics, display refresh-rate and Startup Apps settings pages.

RAM + Startup:
- Optionally request a system-managed pagefile through WMIC where available.
Original AutomaticManagedPagefile is saved first; a reboot may be required.
- Show module capacity / configured speed through WMIC where available.
- Open Startup Apps settings for manual review.
- Guidance explains dual-channel, XMP/DOCP/EXPO and UMA limits.

Storage:
- Run defrag /O on a selected drive. Windows chooses an appropriate media
operation, such as SSD retrim or HDD optimization.
- Optionally remove contents of the current user's %TEMP% folder only. Files
locked by active apps are skipped. Downloads, Documents and game folders are
  not touched.

Network:
- Save the current netsh TCP configuration, then request RSS=enabled and
autotuninglevel=normal. RSS may not be supported by every Wi-Fi adapter.
These are common Windows defaults, not a guaranteed ping reduction.
- Device Manager can be opened from the network menu to review an adapter's own
Power Management tab. This is intentionally manual because adapter drivers
expose different power controls. DNS overrides are not included: changing DNS
usually affects name lookup, not live-game ping, and may conflict with managed networks.

Power + USB:
- Optionally disable USB selective suspend on AC only or AC+DC. This can help
troubleshoot USB drives or input devices that sleep / disconnect, but may
increase power use. Original active power plan is exported first. Restore it
  through Restore All Backups.

Core Parking:
- Expose and set CPMINCORES to 100% for AC or AC+DC where Windows exposes it.
100% disables the core-parking algorithm. This may increase idle power, heat
and laptop battery drain. A status command displays policy values, not a live
  count of parked cores.

BACKUP / RESTORE
----------------
- Original active power scheme is exported before power changes.
- Each registry key is exported before the first change. If a key was absent,
a marker is stored so Restore can remove the key created by this tool.
- TCP configuration is dumped before the first TCP change.
- Original pagefile-management mode is recorded before requesting a
  system-managed pagefile.
- Backups are first-run snapshots and are not overwritten by subsequent runs. Restore deletes and recreates each backed-up registry key to return it to the first-run snapshot; this also discards later changes made under those same keys.
- Restore imports the original power scheme under a separate GUID and activates
it. The old power-plan entry may remain in the list; this avoids overwriting
  a plan currently in use.

RISKS AND LIMITATIONS
---------------------
- No utility can guarantee a particular FPS. Game engines, CPU/GPU bottlenecks,
RAM bandwidth, thermals, power limits, drivers, resolution and server latency
  all matter.
- EPP 0 and aggressive boost favor performance where the processor/firmware
supports those controls. They can increase heat and power use; some laptops
may throttle more if cooling is inadequate.
- Active cooling policy asks Windows to favor fan ramping before passive CPU
throttling where the platform implements it. Firmware may ignore this value.
- Core unparking is not guaranteed to improve game performance.
- Windows GPU preference requests a high-performance adapter only when a
compatible discrete GPU / driver is present. It does not overclock a GPU.
- HAGS and refresh-rate choices remain in Windows settings because hardware,
  driver and display support vary.
- Pagefile management via WMIC is not available on every newer Windows install.
If WMIC is absent, use Windows Virtual Memory settings manually.
- CMD cannot safely change BIOS UMA size, XMP/DOCP/EXPO, RAM timings or voltage,
GPU voltage, GPU clock offsets, laptop thermal limits or vendor fan curves.
- Memory compression remains under Windows management. The tool does not use
RAM cleaners or standby-list purges because they can increase stutter.
- TCP changes may not improve latency; Wi-Fi interference, ISP routing,
congestion and game-server distance are usually more important.
- Windows Defender, Windows Firewall and Windows Update are never disabled.
- The utility is provided as-is. Review each confirmation and keep backups.

PRIVACY

The CMD tool does not send telemetry or contact a website. Backups remain on
this PC in the Backups folder. Hardware details are displayed locally only.
